» Full Dark, No Stars - Stephen King's new novella questions mankind's ability to trust others.

» The Top 30 Albums of 2010 - Fashionably, fabulously late, our favorite music (and believe me, there was a LOT) of 2010, the year that some have called the best year for music ever. And only some of those fools work here. Plenty of usual suspects, lots of ties and a few surprises that I won't spoil, including our unexpected #1.

» Live: Surfer Blood/The Drums at Lincoln Hall, Chicago, IL - Remember when Weezer used to put together records that you could sing along to and rock out to? That's what Surfer Blood's show was like!

"Now, this is my all time favorite photo. It's not my favorite photo now. The color photo right now is my favorite. I actually don't have a favorite photo, I have a couple. But this one of "The Fourth Avenue Tunnel" taken in February 1998 in Tucson, Arizona, makes me really happy. It was right when I bought my Leica Camera and I rented a car and did an internship with Bruce Licher doing letterpress at Independent Projects Press, and then I drove around Arizona for a week taking photos. I love this tunnel. It's very old and old fashioned, and not something that will be around in twenty years, I'm sure. I love the light, the shadows, the painted walls, the roadway below the walkway. I can smell the smell, hear the sounds in the tunnel and know quite well that to my right is the Hotel Congress, a place that I love, and now a place that sells my postcards, which makes me most happy. I sleep in room 238 and from that room you can hear the cars coming from this tunnel (which runs below the railroad tracks) and you can hear the trains running from the east to the west. I've recorded the sounds from the room, and there is a photo of the view of the room, which I finally captured. I love that, too. But this is better."
